Privacy notice

This notice explains how Cambridge Stone Worktops handles personal information from people who enquire about worktops. Last updated 27 October 2026.

What we collect

Through the quote form we receive your name, the kitchen's postcode, how to reach you (phone or email) and what you tell us about the work: the job type, stone, layout, floor level, timing, approximate measurements and any extra notes. We also record which page the form was sent from and when.

When you ring, we write down your name, your number and the details of the work you describe. If you send photos or plans, we keep them with your enquiry. Please do not include health or other sensitive details in your notes.

Why we use it

To reply to you, talk through the job, send a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. We rely on two lawful bases: legitimate interests, since you asked us to get back to you, and steps you have asked us to take before any contract.

Who sees it

Enquiries are shared only with the team who quotes for and does the work. We use four services to handle enquiries: Cloudflare for website hosting and form delivery, an automation platform that receives each submission, a cloud spreadsheet where it is stored, and an email account that notifies us. Any transfer of your data outside the UK by these providers is covered by the safeguards UK GDPR requires, such as adequacy regulations or standard contract clauses. We never sell your details or use them for marketing.

How long we keep it

Twelve months from your enquiry, after which it is deleted. Customers' records are kept for as long as the job and any aftercare need them.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and loads no tracking pixels. Fonts are served from this website, not a third party. Cloudflare may run strictly necessary security checks. Websites we link to have their own privacy notices.

Your rights

You are entitled to a copy of what we hold on you, to have mistakes fixed or the data erased, and to object to how it is used. To do so, call us on 01223 912321. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
